Our research group participated in ICSMGE 2026 in Vienna, presenting contributions in experimental testing, constitutive modelling, cyclic behaviour, numerical methods, machine learning, and energy geotechnics. The conference enabled valuable exchange between academia and industry and provided new impulses for ongoing research.

"This study presents the U-CAM model for the coupled hydro-mechanical behaviour of unsaturated and saturated fine-grained soils."

This study investigates the numerical modelling of liquefiable slopes under dynamic loading and evaluates the ability of advanced constitutive models to capture failure mechanisms.

This study investigates how pore-fluid salinity influences the monotonic and cyclic behaviour of Scheruhn kaolin.

This study investigates the influence of inherent and induced anisotropy on the mechanical behaviour of fine-grained soils and evaluates its representation in advanced constitutive models.

This study highlights the importance of thermo-plastic constitutive modelling for the reliable design of energy piles under thermal loading.

"This study investigates the thermo-plastic response of energy piles in soft soils during long-term monotonic cooling and highlights the importance of accounting for thermal plasticity in numerical modelling."

"This study extends the AVISA-T framework to capture thermo-mechanical creep and its impact on the long-term behaviour of energy pile systems."

This study investigates the influence of soil-water retention models on the hydro-mechanical behaviour of unsaturated soils, highlighting their impact on collapse, cyclic response, and shear strength.
