Neues Paper: "Monopile installation in clay and subsequent response to millions of lateral load cycles" in "Computers and Geotechnics"

In a new paper we investigate the installation process of monopiles in clay and their subsequent response to millions of lateral load cycles using the HCA model for clay. 

The influence of the installation process of piles on their load-bearing behaviour is often not accounted for in numerical analyses. In addition, no approach to calculate the long-term deformations of monopiles embedded in clay subjected to loading by wind and water waves in the offshore environment exists up to now. Both aspects are adressed in a new paper published in "Computers and Geotechnics".
