The coupled hydro-mechanical behaviour of fine-grained soils under partially saturated conditions remains a major challenge for constitutive modelling. This paper introduces the U-CAM (Unified Constitutive Anamnesis Model), a novel framework capable of describing the behaviour of both saturated and unsaturated soils within a unified formulation. The model accounts for hydraulic history effects, evolving state variables, and the interaction between suction, deformation, and stress response. Its performance is evaluated against experimental data, demonstrating its ability to reproduce key features such as stiffness evolution, volumetric behaviour, and path dependency under varying hydraulic conditions. The results highlight the potential of the U-CAM framework as a consistent basis for advanced hydro-mechanical modelling of fine-grained soils.
